Job Description

A leading Ag company in the Midwest is looking for a Sales Agronomist to join their team! This role focuses on promoting and selling chemical, seed, fertilizer, and seed treatment products while delivering top-notch customer service to growers. You'll collaborate with a dedicated team, providing research-driven recommendations to optimize farming practices for maximum results.

Sales Agronomist expectations:

  • Develop & Manage Sales in an assigned territory
  • Provide tailored agronomic solutions including seed, fertilizer, and chemical recommendations
  • Scout fields and collect soil, seed, and plant samples for analysis
  • Maintain detailed records on customer data and field conditions
  • Stay ahead of industry trends through ongoing learning and collaboration
  • Lead educational presentations on best agronomic practices
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies

Sales Agronomist qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture or related field (preferred)
  • 4+ years of agronomy experience or a strong combination of education & experience
  • Deep knowledge of agronomy products and services
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make effective decisions
  • Excellent communication & relationship-building skills

Sales Agronomist Compensation:

  • Be part of a well-established Ag leader with strong industry connections
  • Competitive base salary: $70,000 - $100,000 (DOE)+ bonus potential
