Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Designer to join our dynamic engineering team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in mechanical design and be proficient in various design software. This role involves creating detailed designs, drafting schematics, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to bring innovative solutions to life. The Mechanical Designer will play a crucial part in the development of products that meet our high standards for quality and performance.
Responsibilities
- Develop and create detailed mechanical designs using CAD software such as SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
- Draft schematics and technical drawings that adhere to industry standards, including GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
- Collaborate with engineers and other team members to assemble components and ensure proper integration of systems.
- Conduct Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to validate design integrity and performance under various conditions.
- Utilize software for document management and collaboration on design projects.
- Participate in design reviews, providing insights and recommendations for improvements.
- Maintain accurate documentation of design processes, changes, and specifications throughout the project lifecycle.
Requirements
- Proficiency in mechanical design software, including SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Pro/ENGINEER, or similar tools.
- Strong understanding of GD&T principles and their application in mechanical design.
- Experience with drafting schematics and assembling mechanical systems is preferred.
- Familiarity with FEA techniques to analyze product performance is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in all aspects of design work.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong communication skills to effectively convey technical information to team members and stakeholders.
