Associate Attorney in Charleston

Job Description

We are seeking a Product Liability / Mass Tort Attorney with 3-5 years of experience to join our client's growing litigation team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in product liability and mass tort litigation, with experience handling written discovery, motion practice, expert witness coordination, document generation, depositions, and high-level legal research and writing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and litigate product liability and mass tort cases from inception through resolution.
• Draft pleadings, motions, and discovery requests/responses in mass tort and product liability matters.
• Conduct depositions of fact and expert witnesses in product liability and mass tort cases.
• Work closely with expert witnesses on case strategy and trial preparation.
• Perform complex legal research and draft memoranda on substantive product liability and procedural issues.
• Participate in motion practice, including dispositive motions and pre-trial motions.
• Assist with trial preparation and, where applicable, participate in trial proceedings.

Qualifications:

• 3-5 years of litigation experience, preferably in product liability or mass tort cases.
• Experience as a federal law clerk is a plus.
• Top of graduating class and participation in Law Review is highly preferred.
• Strong written and oral advocacy skills, including legal research and writing.
• Experience handling written discovery, motion practice, depositions, and expert witness preparation.
• Trial experience is a plus.
• Licensed to practice law in [state].
