Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Foundry Maintenance Technician with expertise in PLC troubleshooting and hydraulic systems to join our team. This role is critical in maintaining and optimizing foundry operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform preventative maintenance on key foundry equipment, including:
    • Melting furnaces
    • Molding machines
    • Sand systems
    • Conveyors
    • Hydraulic presses
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems to minimize downtime.
  • Diagnose and resolve PLC-related issues, including programming and troubleshooting.
  • Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals to guide maintenance activities.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance work and equipment status.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies at all times.
  • Collaborate with production teams and other maintenance personnel to ensure seamless operations.
  • Identify and address potential equipment failures before they impact production.
  • Continuously improve maintenance processes to enhance efficiency and reliability.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of industrial maintenance experience, preferably in a foundry setting.
  • Proven expertise in PLC troubleshooting and programming (experience with specific brands is a plus).
  • Strong knowledge of hydraulic systems and components.
  • Familiarity with electrical systems, including AC/DC circuits and motor controls.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Comfortable working in a physically demanding environment.
