Probate Litigation Legal Assistant – Los Angeles

A well-regarded probate litigation law firm is seeking an experienced Probate Litigation Legal Assistant to join their Los Angeles office. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive support to attorneys handling trust, estate, probate, and conservatorship matters, assisting clients through complex legal processes while maintaining a professional and compassionate approach.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide litigation support including preparing and filing court documents, creating internal files, and managing correspondence.
  • Manage document organization, scanning, mailing, and e-Filings.
  • Maintain attorneys’ calendars, coordinate messengers and deliveries, and assist with trial preparations.
  • Draft correspondence and legal forms, proofread documents for accuracy, and greet clients and other guests.
  • Support attorneys effectively in a fast-paced litigation environment and accommodate changing priorities as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a legal assistant or paralegal in probate, trust, estate, or conservatorship litigation.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Outlook, Excel, Adobe Acrobat, and general office software required; experience with Smokeball is a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, excellent judgment, and the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a professional and welcoming demeanor.
  • Paralegal certificate, Certified Paralegal, or Certified Legal Assistant designation preferred; Bachelor’s degree a plus.
