Job Title: Sales Estimator - Asphalt Paving Maintenance
Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced Sales Estimator to join our asphalt paving maintenance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate estimates for asphalt paving, resurfacing, and maintenance projects. This role requires a deep understanding of asphalt work, strong communication skills, and the ability to generate new business opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed and accurate estimates for asphalt paving, resurfacing, and maintenance projects.
- Evaluate project specifications, site conditions, and client needs to determine the scope of work and materials required.
- Meet with clients to assess their asphalt needs and provide solutions that align with project requirements and budgets.
- Prepare bids and proposals, ensuring they reflect accurate costs for labor, materials, and equipment.
- Maintain strong relationships with existing clients and generate new business through proactive sales efforts.
- Work closely with the operations team to ensure project estimates align with the company’s capabilities and capacity.
- Monitor market trends and adjust pricing strategies to stay competitive.
- Track and follow up on submitted bids, responding to client questions or concerns.
- Assist in negotiating contracts and closing deals to secure projects.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a sales estimator or in a similar role within the asphalt or construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of asphalt paving, resurfacing, and maintenance practices.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and customer service skills.
- Ability to analyze project requirements and produce accurate cost estimates.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Proficiency in estimating software or tools.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
