About the Role: A highly regarded regional law firm is seeking a skilled and client-focused Estate Planning Attorney with 4 to 7 years of experience to join its Portland office. This is an opportunity to grow your career in a collegial, team-oriented environment while working on sophisticated estate planning and wealth preservation matters for individuals, families, and closely held businesses.

Responsibilities:

  • Draft wills, revocable and irrevocable trusts, durable powers of attorney, and advance directives.

  • Provide strategic guidance on estate, gift, generation-skipping transfer (GST), and income tax planning.

  • Advise clients on charitable giving, business succession planning, and asset protection.

  • Collaborate with fiduciaries, financial advisors, and tax professionals to implement estate and wealth transfer plans.

  • Support clients through probate and trust administration processes, including court filings and beneficiary communication.

  • Conduct legal research and stay current on state and federal tax and estate laws.

Qualifications:

  • 4–7 years of experience in estate planning, trust and estate administration, and related tax matters.

  • Strong understanding of Oregon probate code and estate/gift tax regulations.

  • LL.M. in Taxation or CPA background is preferred but not required.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to manage long-term client relationships.

  • Exceptional drafting, analytical, and communication skills.

  • Must be licensed to practice in Oregon; Washington Bar membership is a plus.
