Job Description

Position Overview:
The Fabrication Manager will oversee daily operations in our fabrication facility, manage a team of skilled fabricators and technicians, and ensure that all work meets project specifications, deadlines, and safety standards. This individual will be a hands-on leader with a deep understanding of fabrication processes, materials, and workflow management in the glazing industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day operations of the fabrication shop, ensuring productivity, quality, and safety

  • Supervise and support fabrication staff, including scheduling, training, and performance management

  • Coordinate with project managers, engineering, and field teams to ensure accurate production per drawings/specifications

  • Monitor material inventory, order supplies, and track usage to minimize waste

  • Maintain and enforce shop safety protocols and ensure compliance with OSHA standards

  • Troubleshoot fabrication challenges and recommend process improvements

  • Implement and oversee quality control procedures throughout the fabrication process

  • Ensure on-time delivery of fabricated materials to job sites

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in fabrication or manufacturing, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role

  • Strong background in glass, glazing systems, curtain wall, storefront, or architectural metal preferred

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and shop drawings

  • Proficient with fabrication tools, machinery, and production processes

  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills

  • Experience with ERP or production management software is a plus
