Job Description

My client is a well-established boutique law firm in Houston, Texas, specializing in business law, health law, probate litigation, & OSHA defense. They are seeking a candidate with a strong background in healthcare and regulatory law to support their legal team in managing complex administrative matters. They ideally want attorney with experience representing clients before state and federal agencies, handling matters such as licensing defense, regulatory compliance, and administrative hearings. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Represent clients before various administrative agencies, including the Texas Medical Board, Texas Board of Nursing, Texas Department of Insurance, and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).

  • Advise clients on regulatory compliance matters, including healthcare fraud, billing audits, and licensure issues.

  • Prepare and file pleadings, motions, and other legal documents in administrative proceedings.

  • Conduct legal research and analysis to support client cases and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

  • Negotiate settlements and represent clients in administrative hearings and appeals.

  • Collaborate with other attorneys and staff to develop effective legal strategies and provide comprehensive client services.

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

  • Licensed to practice law in Texas.

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in administrative law, with a focus on regulatory compliance and licensing defense.

  • Strong understanding of administrative procedures and agency regulations.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple cases simultaneously.
