Project Manager – Heavy Civil / Utilities & Excavation

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee heavy civil construction projects with a focus on utilities, excavation, and site development. The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of experience managing civil construction projects from start to finish.

Responsibilities

  • Manage projects from preconstruction through completion
  • Oversee project schedules, budgets, costs, and overall performance
  • Coordinate with owners, engineers, subcontractors, vendors, and field teams
  • Review plans, specifications, contracts, and project requirements
  • Manage underground utilities, excavation, grading, and related civil work
  • Track project progress, change orders, and financial performance
  • Conduct project meetings and provide regular updates to management
  • Ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of project management experience in heavy civil construction
  • Strong experience with utilities, excavation, grading, or site development
  • Ability to read and interpret civil plans and specifications
  • Strong understanding of construction scheduling, budgeting, and project controls
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
  • Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred but not required
