Construction Manager
A growing residential homebuilder is seeking an experienced Construction Manager to oversee residential construction operations throughout Georgia. This leadership role will be responsible for managing field operations, ensuring quality construction standards, maintaining schedules, and leading project teams to deliver exceptional homes.
The ideal candidate will possess strong residential construction experience, proven leadership skills, and an active Georgia General Contractor License.
Responsibilities
- Oversee multiple residential construction projects from groundbreaking through completion
- Manage and support Superintendents, Field Managers, and trade partners
- Ensure projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and to company quality standards
- Conduct regular jobsite inspections and quality control reviews
- Coordinate with purchasing, estimating, design, and sales teams to ensure successful project execution
- Maintain compliance with local building codes, safety requirements, and company standards
- Manage project budgets, schedules, and production goals
- Build and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors, inspectors, and municipalities
- Identify and resolve construction challenges while maintaining project momentum
- Assist with process improvement initiatives and operational growth
Qualifications
- Active Georgia General Contractor License (Required)
- 7+ years of residential construction management experience with a production, semi-custom, or custom home builder
- Proven experience overseeing multiple communities, projects, or field teams
- Strong understanding of residential construction methods, scheduling, budgeting, and quality control
- Knowledge of Georgia building codes and permitting requirements
- Experience working with construction management software such as Buildertrend, BuildPro, Hyphen Solutions, CoConstruct, or similar platforms
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
