Location: Alexandria, SD | Full-Time | On-Site

Position Overview
We’re looking for a proactive Design Engineer to join a dynamic team creating custom mechanical solutions for ag applications. You’ll collaborate closely with customers, sales, and production to design and refine products that meet client needs and manufacturing standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with customers to develop designs and generate detailed manufacturing drawings.

  • Work with sales to address industry needs and select cost-effective materials.

  • Support production teams with design-related questions and issues.

  • Update drawings and ERP systems to reflect changes.

  • Investigate customer feedback and field complaints to drive improvements.

  • Recommend enhancements to products or processes for better quality and efficiency.

  • Maintain current models and drawings.

  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering or related field.

  • 3–5 years of relevant mechanical design experience.

  • Proficient in SolidWorks, especially with sheet metal.

  • Familiar with Microsoft Office.

  • Experience with sheet metal design and brake press ops is a plus.

  • Knowledge of standard drafting practices and formats.

  • Strong communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills.

  • Team-oriented mindset.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary range: $80,000–$95,000 DOE.
