Commercial Litigation Law Clerk

A reputable and well-established Toronto law firm is seeking an experienced Commercial Litigation Law Clerk to join their litigation team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys handling complex files, and is looking to grow within a supportive and collaborative firm.
• Manage commercial litigation files from initial stages through trial and resolution
• Prepare, draft, and review court documents including pleadings, affidavits, motion records, and discovery materials
• Coordinate examinations, mediations, filings, and service of documents
• Conduct legal research, obtain records, and manage production requests
• Communicate with clients, counsel, experts, and court staff professionally and efficiently
• Maintain deadlines, monitor case progress, and manage litigation calendars
• Assist lawyers with trial preparation, including document briefs, summaries, and exhibits
• Handle administrative tasks related to file management and organization
• Minimum 4+ years of experience as a Litigation Law Clerk (commercial litigation experience strongly preferred)
• Solid understanding of the Rules of Civil Procedure and court processes in Ontario
• Strong drafting skills with attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent organizational and time-management abilities
• Proficient with litigation software and document management systems
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team-focused environment
• Strong communication skills and professional client service approach
• Competitive salary between $60,000 and $80,000 based on experience
