Traveling Project Manager – National Mechanical Construction
We’re seeking a Traveling Project Manager to take the lead on large-scale mechanical construction projects nationwide. These projects include high-tech facilities such as data centers, healthcare, industrial, and manufacturing builds — where the mechanical scope can range into the hundreds of millions.
Role Overview
Manage projects on-site from planning through completion
Oversee budgets, schedules, procurement, and subcontractors
Coordinate with engineers, BIM/VDC teams, field leadership, and clients
Drive safety, quality, and performance across every stage
Anticipate and resolve challenges to keep work moving forward
Schedule & Compensation
6 days per week, 10-hour shifts
Overtime paid at an hourly rate beyond the base schedule
Daily per diem while traveling
Travel rotation: typically home every 3–4 weeks
Qualifications
1–3+ years of experience managing mechanical/HVAC/piping projects
Degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or related experience
Strong scheduling and computer skills (P6/MS Project preferred)
Proven leadership, communication, and organizational skills
