Job Description

A highly respected firm is seeking a trust and estate attorney with 3+ years of experience in trust, estate, probate, estate planning, and tax law. This role is ideal for an attorney who enjoys complex planning and administration work and wants to grow within an established trust and estate practice. An LLM in Taxation is preferred but not required. Candidates must have a solid understanding of tax laws related to 706 and 709 filings.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a diverse trust and estate caseload, including estate planning, probate administration, and trust administration.

  • Advise clients on tax implications related to trust and estate matters, including preparation and analysis of Form 706 and Form 709.

  • Draft wills, trusts, tax-planned documents, and all related trust and estate instruments.

  • Represent clients in probate court and oversee estate and trust settlement processes as a lead attorney.

  • Collaborate with senior attorney team members to develop tax-efficient strategies for high-net-worth clients.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience as a trust and estate attorney and licensed in Arizona.

  • Strong knowledge of federal and state tax laws, including estate and gift tax regulations.

  • LLM in Taxation is preferred but not required.

  • Excellent drafting, research, and analytical skills expected of a seasoned attorney.

  • Ability to manage multiple files and deadlines within a busy trust and estate practice.
