Plant Engineer – Full-Time

Location: Tennessee Industry: Manufacturing / Industrial Production Schedule: Full-Time

🏭 Position Summary

We are seeking a proactive Plant Engineer to oversee and optimize the engineering operations of our manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for maintaining plant equipment, improving production processes, supporting new product introductions, and ensuring operational efficiency.

The ideal candidate combines technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment.

🔧 Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and optimize production processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs
  • Maintain and troubleshoot plant equipment, machinery, and systems
  • Support new product introductions and production scale-up activities
  • Perform root cause analysis for production issues and implement corrective actions
  • Collaborate with production, maintenance, quality, and safety teams
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards
  • Monitor plant performance metrics and prepare reports for management
  • Lead or participate in continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Six Sigma, 5S)
  • Oversee plant maintenance schedules and capital improvement projects

📘 Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering
  • 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial plant environment
  • Strong understanding of production equipment, processes, and maintenance principles
  • Experience with Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or process improvement initiatives
  • Proficiency with data analysis and reporting tools (Excel, ERP systems, etc.)
  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, hands-on production environment

Preferred Skills (Not Required)

  • Experience with automation, PLCs, or SCADA systems
  • Project management experience in manufacturing environments
  • Knowledge of quality standards (ISO, AS9100, IATF 16949)
