Job Description

Gpac is looking for a passionate and knowledgeable Technical Agronomist to join our client’s team and lead the way in agronomic innovation.

As a Technical Agronomist, you’ll work closely with growers, sales teams, and internal agronomy experts to deliver tailored agronomic strategies enhanced by precision ag tools. Your focus will be on optimizing crop performance using advanced technologies such as GIS mapping, variable rate applications, remote sensing, and data analytics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical agronomic support to growers and internal teams, with an emphasis on integrating precision ag solutions.

  • Interpret field data including yield maps, soil sampling results, and NDVI imagery to develop actionable recommendations.

  • Design and manage variable rate prescriptions for fertilizer, seed, and crop protection products.

  • Stay up-to-date on emerging ag technologies, tools, and best practices.

  • Collaborate with sales and service teams to support customer success and promote adoption of new technologies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s in Agronomy, Crop Science, Precision Agriculture, or a related field.

  • 1+ years of agronomic experience, preferably in a precision ag environment.

  • Strong understanding of crop production systems and field scouting practices.

  • Experience with precision ag platforms (e.g., Climate FieldView, Ag Leader, John Deere Ops Center, SMS, etc.).

  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.

  • Ability to work independently and travel within the region as needed.
