Job Title: NY Title Officer (Remote)

💰 Salary: $55,000 – $70,000 annually (based on experience)

Company Overview

We are working with a reputable and growing title company specializing in residential and commercial real estate transactions. They pride themselves on delivering accurate, timely, and efficient title services and are currently seeking a New York Title Officer to join their team!

Position Summary

The Title Officer will be responsible for title searches, preparing title commitments, managing and disbursing closed files, clearing title issues, and completing post-closing documentation. This is a remote role handling approximately 15–20 files per month, primarily residential with occasional commercial transactions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review title commitments for accuracy
  • Read and analyze title searches
  • Resolve title issues and clear title for closing
  • Disburse closed files, issue checks, mortgage payoffs, and wires
  • Prepare closing documents and final policies
  • Conduct file reconciliations
  • Maintain compliance with applicable state regulations and company standards
  • Communicate effectively with clients, lenders, attorneys, and team members

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a title company setting (NY experience required)
  • Proficient in reading title searches and preparing commitments and final policies
  • Experience with Accutitle software preferred
  • Familiarity with residential and commercial transactions in NY
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Title Producer and/or Notary Public certification preferred
