Overview:
We are seeking a motivated Project Engineer/Assistant Project Manager with 2+ years of experience in underground construction, ideally in civil sitework involving wet utilities such as storm, water, and sewer systems. This role provides the opportunity to gain hands-on experience, shadow experienced Project Managers, and grow into a leadership role with a well-established contractor.
Responsibilities:
Assist Project Managers with planning, scheduling, and managing sitework and utility projects.
Support project documentation, cost tracking, and reporting.
Coordinate with field teams, subcontractors, and suppliers.
Review drawings, specifications, and submittals to ensure compliance.
Help monitor project progress, safety, and quality standards.
Provide problem-solving support for field operations.
Qualifications:
2+ years of experience in underground construction (storm/water/sewer preferred).
Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred (experience may substitute).
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Eagerness to learn, take initiative, and grow into a Project Manager role.
