Position Overview:

As the Director of Nursing, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the highest standards of care for our residents. This is a leadership position that involves overseeing all nursing staff, developing and implementing nursing policies, and ensuring that our team provides outstanding care. You will be responsible for managing the hiring and continued employment of nursing staff, maintaining adequate staffing levels, and ensuring staff skills are up-to-date.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise all nursing staff to ensure high standards of care.
  • Develop and implement nursing policies and procedures.
  • Manage the recruitment, hiring, and continued employment of nursing staff.
  • Ensure that there is adequate nursing staff at all times.
  • Oversee nursing staff conduct and address any performance issues.
  • Stay informed about incidents and changes in the facility.
  • Conduct health assessments for residents to ensure their needs are met.

Requirements:

  • Current State Registered Nurse (RN) license is required.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in long-term care.
  • At least 2 years of supervisory experience.
  • Demonstrated leadership and strong supervisory skills.
