A leading local firm is actively seeking a self-motivated Senior Tax Associate to join their growing team. What You’ll Be Doing:
Prepare and file state and local sales and use tax returns, including compiling and analyzing financial data
Perform detailed technical reviews of indirect tax filings
Maintain and improve sales tax procedures and return worksheets
Assist in drafting proposals for both new and existing clients
Handle inquiries from internal teams and tax jurisdictions
Manage registration, renewal, and cancellation of sales tax permits
Stay up to date on tax regulations across assigned states
Identify and implement process improvements
Support the onboarding and training of new team members
What We’re Looking For:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Tax, or a related field
CPA certification (or in progress); specialty certifications are a plus
2+ years of experience in a Senior Tax Associate role
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
Ability to multi-task and work efficiently under deadlines
Tech-savvy with the ability to leverage firm technology
A client-focused mindset with a passion for public accounting
Willingness to travel occasionally as needed
