๐Ÿงพ Junior Fiduciary Accountant

Overview:
A well-established and highly respected private client services firm is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Fiduciary Accountant to join its Trusts & Estates team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a background in accounting or tax who is looking to build a long-term career supporting high-net-worth individuals and complex estate structures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare federal and state fiduciary income tax returns (Form 1041) for trusts and estates.
  • Assist with the preparation of estate and inheritance tax returns (e.g., Form 706).
  • Draft estate and trust accountings, probate schedules, and related financial reports.
  • Track and manage client financial data including investments, disbursements, and income.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and support attorneys and senior staff in trust and estate administration.
  • Coordinate with clients, financial institutions, and internal teams to gather necessary information.
  • Monitor deadlines and ensure all filings and required reports are submitted in a timely manner.
  • Support client service initiatives with professionalism, discretion, and accuracy.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance (required).
  • 1–3 years of relevant experience, ideally within a public accounting, private client, or family office environment.
  • Working knowledge of fiduciary taxation and trust accounting principles preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general ledger systems.
  • CPA or Enrolled Agent designation a plus, or on track to obtain.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills with a high degree of attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Competitive base salary commensurate with experience ($60,000–$80,000 range).
