A highly respected employee-owned mechanical contractor is expanding its Nashville preconstruction team. This role is ideal for a strategic mechanical professional who thrives in early-stage project development—balancing estimating precision, client collaboration, and design coordination for large-scale commercial, industrial, and institutional projects.
Lead front-end planning and conceptual estimating for mechanical scopes (HVAC, piping, and plumbing)
Develop and manage budgets, cost models, and preconstruction schedules
Oversee scope definition, bid packaging, and value engineering efforts
Partner with internal engineering, BIM, and fabrication teams to ensure design efficiency and constructability
Act as a client-facing liaison with owners, architects, and GCs to guide project direction and expectations
Deliver accurate, timely proposals and preconstruction packages that support award-winning project execution
5+ years of experience in mechanical preconstruction, estimating, or project planning
Proven ability to build conceptual budgets and support design-assist/design-build delivery
Strong technical understanding of HVAC and piping systems
Excellent communication, analytical, and presentation skills
Demonstrated success working in collaborative, cross-functional environments
