We're partnered with a fast-growing, privately held meat processing company that is seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to lead all plant maintenance operations. This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for ensuring equipment reliability, driving preventive maintenance initiatives, and supporting continuous improvement across a busy, high-volume protein facility.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead, develop, and mentor a multi-skilled maintenance team across all production shifts
Oversee daily maintenance operations, troubleshooting, PM programs, and work order execution
Ensure compliance with OSHA, USDA, HACCP, ammonia/refrigeration regulations, and plant safety programs
Manage maintenance budget, parts inventory, and contractor relationships
Partner with Operations, Engineering, and QA to maximize uptime and support production goals
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce downtime, extend equipment life, and improve plant performance
Support capital projects, equipment upgrades, and future facility enhancements
What We’re Looking For:
5+ years of maintenance leadership in meat or food processing (protein experience strongly preferred)
Strong mechanical, electrical, and industrial troubleshooting background
Experience with refrigeration (ammonia), packaging equipment, conveyors, and processing machinery
Proven ability to lead teams, manage KPIs, and build a culture of accountability
Strong understanding of regulatory requirements, safety programs, and maintenance best practices
