Tax Senior

Location: Lincolnshire, IL

Overview

A nationally ranked accounting, tax and advisory firm is seeking a Tax Senior for its Lincolnshire, Illinois office (New Jersey offices also listed). The role prepares and reviews complex individual, trust, partnership and corporate returns and supports engagement teams.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complex individual, trust, partnership and corporate tax returns
• Review mid-level complexity returns prepared by tax staff
• Research and draft memoranda involving complex tax matters
• Identify tax planning opportunities
• Handle and resolve tax controversies
• Manage multiple engagements concurrently
• Provide supervision, training and support to engagement staff

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting
• Licensed CPA or working toward CPA certification
• Master's in taxation preferred but not required
• 3-5 years of prior experience in the tax department of a public accounting firm
• Excellent analytical and technical tax skills
