Project Manager/Estimating/Sales - Steel Fabrication

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Sales / Project Manager to join our team in the heavy structural steel fabrication industry. This dynamic role includes full-cycle responsibilities across Bidding, Estimating, Sales, Customer Service, and Project Management. The ideal candidate will have experience in B2B sales and estimating within a fabrication or industrial environment and be comfortable managing multiple accounts and projects from start to finish.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and interpret blueprints, specifications, and proposals to prepare accurate cost estimates for structural and miscellaneous steel projects.

  • Coordinate with customers to understand their needs and provide timely, professional responses to inquiries and RFQs.

  • Generate quotes and bids using ERP software (Global Shop Solutions experience preferred).

  • Support the Outside Sales team by qualifying leads and identifying opportunities for additional product and service offerings.

  • Enter and manage customer orders, ensuring all specifications, timelines, and delivery expectations are met.

  • Coordinate internally with engineering, production, and QC to ensure successful project execution.

  • Maintain strong customer relationships through clear communication, timely updates, and proactive issue resolution.

  • Track and manage project timelines, budgets, and deliverables from award to closeout.

  • Solicit and respond to customer feedback to continuously improve service and product offerings.


Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in estimating, B2B inside sales, or project management within a steel fabrication or manufacturing environment.

  • Strong working knowledge of steel fabrication processes, materials, and estimating practices.

  • Proficiency in ERP systems (Global Shop Solutions preferred) and Microsoft Office.

  • Excellent communication, organization, and customer service skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced setting.

  • College degree or equivalent industry experience preferred.
