Job Description

We are working with a building materials manufacturer in Pulaski County looking for an experienced Tooling Engineer.

This role requires a deep understanding of metal forming processes and tool and die design, a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of quality and efficiency, and a proven track record in the maintenance and troubleshooting of metal stamping tools. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in tool engineering and hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities:

Oversee the design and development of metal stamping tools and dies to meet production and quality standards and the fabrication, testing, and debugging of new tools and dies.

Collaborate with the product design engineers, machine engineers, and manufacturing team to seamlessly integrate new tools into the production process.

Direct and oversee hourly tool & die makers and die setter personnel.

Diagnose and oversee the repair of tool and die issues to minimize downtime and maintain production schedules.

Conduct thorough inspections and testing of tools to identify potential problems and take corrective actions.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.

Extensive knowledge of tool and die design, materials, and manufacturing processes.

Extensive hands-on experience in the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of metal stamping tools.

Proficiency with 3D CAD software (e.g., VISI, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, etc.).

Experience with CNC machining, wire EDM, and tool fabrication including normal tool room equipment (mills, lathes, grinders, etc.).

Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S., without current or future requirements for sponsorship of an employment-based visa status.

The salary range is $105-115k DOE.
