Our client is a prominent specialty construction company with a proven track record of delivering successful projects.

They are seeking an experienced Controller to lead our financial operations. This company offers a growth opportunity.

Candidates should posses a strong accounting background with 6 plus years of experience in electrical construction OR 8 plus years in commercial construction. 

Candidate must be a self-motivated and posses recent experience in Construction accounting:

  • Oversee the accounting team that is currently in place.
  • Perform daily/weekly and monthly task of overseeing Job Schedules
  • Preparing for Month end closing document
  • Confirm all AP, AR are completed by the team daily and monthly
  • Prepare for yearly Audits.
  • Accounts Receivable – including preparing the Contractor Pay Applications, entering them into Timberline, Manage Cash Receipts 
  • Monthly Bank Statements 
  • Monthly Journal Entries 
  • Review Monthly Job Cost Status Report (WIP Schedule) 
  • Work with the President to ensure all monthly documents are accurate and ready to close by the 20th of the following month.
  • Prepare Quarterly Financials documents to present to the board of directors.
  • Must have experience with Sage 300 and TimberScan( feature of Sage 300) **preferred accounting software.
  • Must be detail oriented , organized, be able to delegate task and make sure all deadlines are met on time.
