Audit Manager - Not-for-Profit

Location: Park Ridge, NJ (New York area offices also considered)

Overview

A nationally ranked, fast-growing accounting, tax and advisory firm is seeking an Audit Manager focused on not-for-profit clients. Park Ridge, New Jersey is among the listed offices (New York area offices also considered).

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple audit engagements for not-for-profit clients from planning through final delivery
• Serve as primary point of contact on engagements and respond to client requests
• Manage, train and mentor associates and review their work for quality and accuracy
• Review audit workpapers, financial statements and reports for compliance with professional standards
• Identify and consult with clients on the impact of new accounting pronouncements
• Draft complex financial statements and related footnote disclosures
• Evaluate internal controls and identify areas of risk or opportunity for improvement

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting
• CPA required or in progress
• Several years of public accounting audit experience
• Not-for-profit audit experience preferred
• Strong review, coaching and client communication skills
