Our client, an established accounting firm founded in 2007 by former "Big Four" professionals, is seeking an Audit Senior to join their growing team in Contra Costa County. The Opportunity

This hybrid position offers exceptional work-life integration:

  • 3 days onsite / 2 days remote
  • 40-hour workweeks outside of busy season with 4-day workweek option
  • Reasonable 50-hour workweeks during busy season with flexible scheduling

Responsibilities

  • Lead and participate in audit engagements for various clients
  • Prepare financial statements and related disclosures
  • Document audit procedures and findings
  • Identify and communicate accounting and auditing matters to managers and partners
  • Supervise and mentor junior staff
  • Build and maintain client relationships
  • Ensure compliance with professional standards and firm policies

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of public accounting experience with focus on audit services
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting or related field with minimum 3.2 GPA
  • Working towards or already met the 150-semester unit requirement for CPA licensure
  • Experience with clients in venture capital, high-net-worth individuals, hedge funds, real estate, or private equity preferred
  • Proficiency in CCH Axcess, Document Engagement, ProSystem's, Microsoft Office
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and team collaboration abilities

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary Range: $80,000 - $105,000 per year
  • Discretionary performance-based bonuses
  • Work Schedule Flexibility: Option for 9-hour days Mon-Thurs (4-day workweeks) outside busy season
