About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Safety Specialist to join our team. This individual will play a critical role in ensuring a safe working environment across all project sites, reinforcing our strong safety culture, and maintaining compliance with local, state, and federal safety regulations. The Senior Safety Specialist will serve as a trusted advisor to field teams, superintendents, project managers, and leadership, while mentoring junior staff and trade partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and oversee safety programs, policies, and procedures across multiple project sites.

  • Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments to ensure compliance and identify opportunities for improvement.

  • Lead incident investigations, root cause analyses, and corrective action plans.

  • Provide ongoing training, toolbox talks, and mentorship to employees and subcontractors to foster a strong safety culture.

  • Stay current with OSHA, EPA, and other relevant safety regulations and standards.

  • Collaborate with project leadership to integrate safety planning into preconstruction and project execution.

  • Act as a subject matter expert in safety management systems, emergency preparedness, and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, Construction Management, or related field preferred.

  • Minimum 5–7 years of safety experience within the construction industry; general contractor experience highly preferred.

  • Strong knowledge of OSHA standards, environmental health, and industry best practices.

  • CSP, CHST, or related professional safety certifications strongly preferred.

  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence all levels of the organization.

  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to handle complex safety challenges across multiple projects.
