Job Description

Join our client’s team as a Maintenance Technician in Vernon County, WI or Richland County, WI, supporting a food manufacturing. This multi-craft role covers mechanical, electrical, and controls maintenance to keep production, packaging, and utility systems running safely and efficiently.

What you’ll do:

  • Troubleshoot and repair automated equipment including packaging, metal detection, case packing, and palletizing
  • Calibrate and document sensors and instrumentation critical to food safety compliance
  • Operate and maintain ammonia refrigeration and glycol cooling systems
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance using CMMS software
  • Coordinate with contractors and ensure compliance with safety protocols

What we’re looking for:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 3+ years industrial maintenance experience, preferably in food/beverage or sanitary environments
  • Strong skills with PLCs, VFDs, instrumentation, 480 VAC power, pneumatics, hydraulics, and schematic reading
  • Relevant certifications such as Maintenance Management Certificate and Formal Electrical Apprenticeship
  • Preferred skills include ammonia refrigeration training, HAZMAT response, PLC/HMI fundamentals, sanitary welding, and First Aid/CPR/AED certification.
  • Work environment includes onsite conditions with temperature variations, noise, chemicals, and pressurized systems.
