Job Title: Assistant Feedlot Manager

Salary: $60,000 - $65,000 annually (DOE)

About Us:
We are a well-established feedlot operation in Nebraska running approximately 8,500 head. We’re looking for a dependable, hands-on Assistant Feedlot Manager to join our team. This is a great opportunity for someone who is experienced in cattle care and is looking to grow in a leadership role.
Job Responsibilities:
Assist in daily operations of an 8,500-head feedlot
Monitor cattle health and performance
Support calving operations during September and October
Check water systems and maintain tanks during summer months
Operate four-wheelers or gators for all cattle checks (no horseback)
Help manage irrigation systems and sprinkler operations
Work closely with the Feedlot Manager and crew to maintain animal health, feed programs, and facility upkeep
Qualifications:
Prior feedlot or ranch experience required
Strong understanding of cattle health and nutrition
Ability to operate and maintain equipment such as four-wheelers, gators, and irrigation systems
Self-starter with strong work ethic and good communication skills
Must be able to work extended hours during calving and seasonal busy times
