Job Title: Commercial Drywall Traveling Superintendent
Location: Nationwide Travel Required Industry: Commercial Construction – Drywall, Data Centers, Battery Plants, IMP Installations Employment Type: Full-Time Reports To: Project Manager / Director of Field Operations
Job Summary:
We are looking for a hands-on, detail-oriented Traveling Superintendent with deep experience in drywall systems, metal framing, and insulated metal panel (IMP) installations. The ideal candidate has supervised crews on complex projects like data centers and battery plants, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage day-to-day field operations on large-scale industrial projects
Supervise subcontractors and self-perform crews in drywall and IMP scope
Ensure safety, quality, and schedule compliance across all site activities
Coordinate deliveries, manpower, equipment, and inspections
Interpret construction drawings and specifications accurately
Collaborate with Project Managers to track schedule milestones and identify issues early
Maintain daily logs, manpower reports, and progress documentation
Enforce company and site-specific safety policies (OSHA compliance a must)
Lead on-site meetings with trades and communicate expectations clearly
Troubleshoot field issues and offer timely solutions
Qualifications:
7+ years of commercial drywall experience, with at least 3 years in a superintendent role
Hands-on experience with insulated metal panel installation
Field experience on data centers, battery plants, or other critical infrastructure projects
Strong ability to lead, schedule, and motivate field teams
Understanding of construction documents, shop drawings, and specifications
Able to travel extensively nationwide and manage multiple projects as needed
Familiarity with Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, or similar tools
OSHA 30 certification required; CPR/First Aid preferred
