A highly respected boutique law firm is seeking an emerging Associate Attorney to join their renowned Employment Law practice. This is an ideal opportunity for a diligent, detail-oriented attorney with an interest in settlement negotiations and transactional matters. As part of the settlement team, the Associate will play a key role in ensuring compliance with state laws and regulations, minimizing settlement risks, and streamlining the closing process for clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in negotiating and finalizing settlement agreements.
- Draft, review, and revise settlement agreements and related transactional documents.
- Manage all aspects of settlement transactions, including document preparation, review, and final execution.
- Ensure proper execution of legal documents, including the collection and disbursement of funds to all relevant parties, and filing joint motions when necessary.
- Coordinate with clients, senior attorneys, and external parties to ensure smooth resolution of cases.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
- Admission to the California Bar
- 0-2 years of experience, preferably with exposure to settlements, negotiations, and related transactional matters
- Exceptional communication skills, collaborates well with a team and others
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple competing priorities
- Proficiency in legal drafting and transactional document preparation
- A team-oriented mindset with a desire to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment
