Job Title: Commercial Electrical Estimator (Mid to Senior Level)

Job Summary:

One of our top clients is seeking a motivated and experienced Commercial Electrical Estimator to join our growing team in Denver, Colorado. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented individual with a strong understanding of commercial electrical systems, estimating principles, and the ability to accurately prepare competitive bids. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing project specifications, drawings, and other documentation to develop comprehensive and accurate cost estimates for a variety of commercial electrical projects. This position is open to both mid-level professionals looking to advance their careers and seasoned senior estimators seeking a new and challenging opportunity.

Responsibilities:

  • Review and interpret project plans, specifications, and other contract documents.
  • Perform detailed quantity take-offs of electrical materials, equipment, and labor.
  • Develop accurate and competitive cost estimates for commercial electrical projects.
  • Obtain vendor and subcontractor quotations and incorporate them into the estimate.
  • Prepare bid proposals, including detailed breakdowns of costs and scope of work.
  • Analyze project risks and opportunities and incorporate them into the estimate.
  • Collaborate effectively with project managers, engineers, and other team members.
  • Maintain organized and accurate estimating documents and databases.
  • Stay up-to-date on current industry trends, pricing, and technologies.
  • (For Senior Level): Mentor and provide guidance to junior estimating staff.
  • (For Senior Level): Participate in pre-bid meetings and client presentations.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as an Electrical Estimator, with a focus on commercial projects.
    • Mid-Level: Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience.
    • Senior Level: Minimum of 7+ years of relevant experience.
  • Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC).
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and specifications.
  • Excellent mathematical and analytical skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., Accubid, McCormick, ConEst, etc.).
