Job Title: Fabricator

About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Fabricator to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for the hands-on fabrication of custom illuminated signs, including cabinet construction, metalwork, and integration of low-voltage wiring systems. Ideal candidates will have a strong background in aluminum welding, fabrication, and working with various metal-forming tools.
Key Responsibilities:
- Fabricate illuminated sign cabinets, primarily rectangular in shape, using aluminum extrusions and sheets
- Cut metal and aluminum extrusions to size and weld them to form durable, illuminated cabinets
- Install internal structures to house illumination components (LEDs, low voltage wiring, etc.)
- Apply graphics to sign faces and/or individual illuminated letters
- Use shears, brakes, and other metal-forming tools to bend and shape metal as needed
- Perform basic painting and finishing of cabinets (painting is a plus but not required)
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and design specs
- Collaborate with design and installation teams to ensure final product meets quality standards and customer expectations
Requirements:
- 3 to 4 years of experience in sign fabrication or a related metalworking field
- Proven experience with aluminum welding (TIG preferred)
- Competency in low voltage wiring for LED and illuminated systems
- Strong skills in cutting, forming, and assembling metal components
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, shears, and brakes
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality, durable signs
Preferred Skills:
- Painting/finishing experience
- Graphic application (vinyl or printed graphics)
- Knowledge of safety procedures and equipment
