Remote Project Manager – Commercial Construction Startup

Position Overview
The Remote Project Manager will oversee commercial construction projects from pre-construction through closeout, working remotely with periodic travel to job sites. Travel typically includes short trips — a couple of days at a time — to project locations in Idaho, Wisconsin, or Michigan, depending on assignment.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a startup environment, enjoys autonomy, and is comfortable wearing multiple hats while helping the company build its foundation.
Key Responsibilities
Manage commercial construction projects from planning to completion
Coordinate with owners, architects, engineers, and field teams
Oversee project schedules, budgets, RFIs, submittals, and documentation
Monitor site progress through virtual tools + in-person site visits as needed
Ensure quality control, safety compliance, and adherence to project specifications
Identify risks, resolve challenges, and maintain clear communication with stakeholders
Support startup systems, processes, and efficiencies as the company grows
What We’re Looking For
3–7+ years of experience as a Project Manager or APM in commercial construction
Ability to work independently in a remote environment
Strong communication and organizational skills
Experience managing subcontractors, schedules, budgets, and documentation
Proficiency with common construction software (Procore, Bluebeam, etc. preferred)
Willingness to travel for short trips (ID, WI, MI) based on project needs
Startup-minded: adaptable, resourceful, proactive, and collaborative
