Job Description

A highly respected boutique law firm is seeking an emerging Associate Attorney to join their renowned Employment Law practice. This is an ideal opportunity for a diligent, detail-oriented attorney with an interest in settlement negotiations and transactional matters. As part of the settlement team, the Associate will play a key role in ensuring compliance with state laws and regulations, minimizing settlement risks, and streamlining the closing process for clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in negotiating and finalizing settlement agreements.
  • Draft, review, and revise settlement agreements and related transactional documents.
  • Manage all aspects of settlement transactions, including document preparation, review, and final execution.
  • Ensure proper execution of legal documents, including the collection and disbursement of funds to all relevant parties, and filing joint motions when necessary.
  • Coordinate with clients, senior attorneys, and external parties to ensure smooth resolution of cases.

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
  • Admission to the California Bar
  • 0-2 years of experience, preferably with exposure to settlements, negotiations, and related transactional matters
  • Exceptional communication skills, collaborates well with a team and others
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple competing priorities
  • Proficiency in legal drafting and transactional document preparation
  • A team-oriented mindset with a desire to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment
