A highly collaborative, growth-minded firm that has exposure to a variety of business lines, and a healthy team culture is looking to add a Lead Advisor I-Tax to join their team. The firm is an integrated financial services firm dedicated to creating transformations in life and business for executive families and entrepreneurs.

Lead Advisor II – Tax:

 

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a key point of contact for clients, building and maintaining strong relationships by providing proactive tax planning, consulting, and advisory services to help clients minimize tax liabilities, optimize financial strategies, and achieve their financial goals.
  • Build, lead, and manage a team of tax professionals by creating a collaborative and supportive work environment that fosters professional growth and development through mentorship-style guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Proactively identify, assess, and provide effective solutions to ensure the team’s successful execution of tax projects.
  • Collaborate with partners and senior leadership to develop and execute tax strategies that align with the firm’s overall goals.
  • Participate in business development efforts by identifying cross-selling opportunities and nurturing client referrals; assist in the preparation of proposals and presentations to prospective clients.
  • Prepare, review, and file various tax returns in an accurate and timely manner, while also ensuring compliance with relevant tax laws and regulations.
  • Stay current with tax laws, regulations, and industry trends, and conduct research to provide insights and solutions to complex tax issues.

 

Expectations:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field; Master’s degree in accounting, finance, or business administration a plus.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification and license.
  • Minimum of 8-12 years of relevant experience in tax preparation, compliance, accounting, or advisory services, with a proven track record of managing complex client engagements.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years in a supervisory or management role, with a proven history of effectively leading and mentoring teams, as well as contributing to the strategic direction of a firm’s tax or accounting practice.
  • Exceptional client service and interpersonal skills.
  • Effective communication and organizational skills.
  • An ability to manage multiple projects/priorities and remain calm under pressure without sacrificing speed or accuracy in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Proficiency in Thomson Reuters UltraTax CS, SurePrep, QuickBooks Desktop/QuickBooks Online, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • High comfort level working in a technology-forward environment and high adaptability to learning new technology/software/accounting systems.

 

Compensation and Benefits:

  • $130k+ depending on experience
