Are you an experienced Fleet Mechanic looking for a rewarding role with a top-tier waste hauling company? Our client is actively seeking a skilled Fleet Mechanic to maintain and repair a fleet of vehicles critical to providing dependable waste management services. This role is essential in ensuring all vehicles are operational, safe, and compliant with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on heavy trucks, refuse collection vehicles, and related equipment.
  • Conduct routine inspections, adjustments, and repairs on brakes, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and engines.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical issues to minimize downtime and ensure efficient, reliable operation of the fleet.
  • Complete required documentation accurately, including maintenance logs, parts usage, and repair records.
  • Ensure all work meets regulatory and safety standards.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Fleet Mechanic, preferably with waste hauling or heavy-duty vehicles.
  • Expertise in diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical components.
  • Knowledge of DOT regulations and commitment to safety standards.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Certification in ASE or equivalent is a plus.
