About the Opportunity:
A thriving Western North Carolina law firm is seeking a motivated and entrepreneurial Real Estate Associate Attorney to join our Asheville office. This is a high-impact role for an attorney with 3–5 years of transactional real estate experience who is ready to step in and take over the firm’s HOA Department. If you have strong HOA experience and want to build a book of business, lead a practice area, and grow toward Partnership — this is your ideal opportunity.


Key Responsibilities:

• Lead, manage, and expand the firm’s HOA practice
• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial and residential real estate contracts and closing documents
• Manage closings from contract to completion
• Perform due diligence, title reviews, and resolve title issues
• Advise clients on zoning, land use, and leasing matters
• Collaborate with clients, lenders, brokers, and other key stakeholders
• Engage in business development and networking throughout Asheville and greater WNC

Qualifications:

• J.D. from an accredited law school
• Active North Carolina Bar license
• 3–5 years of experience in transactional real estate (commercial + residential)
Solid, hands-on HOA experience (required)
• Excellent communication, organizational, and client-service skills
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a drive to build a practice and grow toward Partnership
