THIS IS A REMOTE POSITION BUT MUST RESIDE NEAR SUFFOLK, VIRGINIA
The ideal sales representative will combine deep industry knowledge, logistical expertise, and exceptional interpersonal skills to effectively promote the company's services—including warehousing, transloading, drayage, and specialized port hauling. They should also have strong familiarity with the Mid-Atlantic region and established relationships with logistics companies operating there.
🎯 Key Qualifications & Experience
- Industry-Specific Knowledge: Familiarity with container logistics, including drayage, transloading, and flatbed trucking, is essential to understand and address client needs effectively.
- Sales and Negotiation Skills: Proven ability to identify potential clients, present tailored solutions, and negotiate deals to meet customer requirements and achieve sales targets.
- Technical Proficiency: Understanding of handling specialized cargo, such as out-of-gauge loads, and knowledge of equipment like crawler cranes and reefer storage facilities.
- Communication and Relationship Building: Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with clients, ensuring customer satisfaction and repeat business.
- Educational Background: A degree in business, logistics, or a related field, coupled with experience in sales or supply chain management, is advantageous.
