Job Title: Remote Structural Steel Detailing Manager

Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Structural Steel Detailing Manager to lead, support, and oversee our remote detailing team. This role is ideal for a seasoned Tekla Structures professional who thrives in a leadership position and can manage multiple detailing projects with accuracy, consistency, and efficiency. This is a fully remote position with company-paid travel once per month.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee a team of structural steel detailers, providing guidance, quality checks, and workflow coordination.

  • Lead detailing efforts using Tekla Structures for structural steel projects of varying size and complexity.

  • Review and ensure accuracy of drawings, models, erection plans, and shop details.

  • Collaborate with PMs, engineers, fabricators, and other stakeholders to resolve design issues and maintain project timelines.

  • Implement and maintain detailing standards and best practices across the team.

  • Coordinate workloads, assign tasks, and support the professional development of detailers.

  • Attend monthly on-site or client meetings (travel covered by company).

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience using Tekla Structures to detail structural steel projects.

  • Proven experience leading or supervising detailers in a production environment.

  • Strong understanding of fabrication and erection processes.

  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

  • Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment.

  • Willingness to travel once per month (all expenses paid).
