Job Description

We’ve partnered with a respected law firm in Charleston, WV, that is seeking an experienced Litigation Legal Assistant to join their team. This is a great opportunity for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. The firm offers a flexible hybrid schedule (2 days remote, 3 days in-office), competitive compensation, and a full suite of benefits. COVID-19 vaccination is required.

Salary: $55,000 – $65,000, depending on experience (candidates outside this range are also encouraged to apply)

Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative litigation support to attorneys and shareholders
  • Draft and format legal documents, including pleadings, briefs, and correspondence
  • File pleadings with courts and administrative agencies, including e-filing
  • Manage attorney calendars, schedule meetings, and coordinate travel arrangements
  • Prepare and submit expense reports
  • Enter, review, and correct attorney time entries
  • Maintain and organize client files, including off-site storage coordination
  • Collaborate with other assistants and staff in a team environment
  • Work with Microsoft Office Suite and PDF tools for document preparation and editing

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in a law firm; strong litigation background preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and PDF editing tools
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • High attention to detail and ability to multitask
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Commitment to client confidentiality
  • Must be vaccinated against COVID-19
