ACCOUNTS PAYABLE SPECIALIST

A well-established homebuilder is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to support daily accounting operations, manage invoice processing, coordinate vendor payments, and maintain accurate financial records.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Process, code, enter, and route invoices for approval and payment.
• Coordinate vendor and subcontractor payments, including weekly check runs and electronic payments.
• Maintain vendor records, W-9s, insurance certificates, lien waivers, and payment information.
• Reconcile vendor statements, credit card accounts, and resolve billing discrepancies.
• Communicate with vendors and subcontractors regarding invoices and payment questions.
• Assist with monthly sales and use tax reviews, year-end 1099 processing, and business license filings.
• Provide occasional support with customer communications and other accounting duties.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Previous accounts payable or accounting experience preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn new software.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
• Customer-focused, adaptable, and team-oriented.
