About the opportunity
A 4.9 review rated locally owned and operated, one-stop-shop for Kitchen or Bath Remodeling in the Des Moines Metro is looking for a hands-on sales leader with strong building materials experience who can drive performance, analyze sales data, and expand wallet share within existing builder relationships.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, mentor, and manage a team of 10–12 Account Managers to achieve sales goals and strengthen builder relationships
Own overall performance of builder accounts across the territory
Track, analyze, and report on key sales metrics to identify trends, gaps, and growth opportunities
Use data-driven insights to improve sales strategies, account performance, and customer experience
Develop and execute incentive and rebate programs to increase product bundling and overall revenue
Attend Home Builders Association (HBA) events and industry functions to strengthen relationships and identify growth opportunities
Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, operations, logistics) to ensure smooth execution of sales initiatives
Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction, responsiveness, and alignment with company goals
Required Background & Qualifications
5+ years of sales management experience with proven success leading teams
Building materials industry experience is required
Ideal backgrounds include lumber, flooring, or related interior building materials
Kitchen & bath experience is NOT required
Experience managing multi-person sales teams (10+ preferred)
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret metrics and drive strategic decisions
Excellent communication, leadership, and relationship-building skills
Proven ability to execute sales initiatives that drive measurable growth

Compensation & Benefits
Base Salary: Starting at $80,000+ (flexible based on experience)
