Job Title: Truss Plant Manager

Seeking a highly motivated and experienced Truss Plant Manager to oversee the daily operations of our truss manufacturing facility. This leadership role is responsible for ensuring efficient production, maintaining high-quality standards, enforcing safety protocols, and managing a team of supervisors and production staff. The ideal candidate has a strong background in wood truss manufacturing, operational leadership, and lean production practices.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the truss manufacturing plant.

  • Lead, manage, and motivate production teams to meet production goals and quality standards.

  • Ensure safety policies and procedures are strictly followed to maintain a safe working environment.

  • Develop and implement operational strategies to improve productivity and efficiency.

  • Monitor inventory levels, raw material usage, and production schedules.

  • Collaborate with design, sales, and logistics teams to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.

  • Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives using lean manufacturing principles.

  • Maintain equipment and coordinate with maintenance teams to minimize downtime.

  • Recruit, train, and develop plant staff; conduct performance evaluations and provide coaching.

  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies.


Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in truss manufacturing or a related building materials environment.

  • Minimum 2–3 years of supervisory or management experience in a manufacturing setting.

  • Strong understanding of truss design, production processes, and quality control.

  • Knowledge of ERP systems and production scheduling tools.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

  • Proven ability to lead teams, resolve conflicts, and drive continuous improvement.

  • Familiarity with OSHA regulations and plant safety standards.


Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with MiTek software or similar truss design systems.

  • Lean Six Sigma or other process improvement training.

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
