About the Role
Seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Asphalt Plant Operator to join one of the Southeast's leading civil construction companies. This position is crucial for the efficient production of hot-mix asphalt, ensuring quality and consistency in our paving projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Plant Operations: Manage the daily operations of the asphalt plant, including startup, shutdown, and monitoring of equipment.
- Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of plant equipment to minimize downtime.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe working environment.
- Inventory Management: Monitor material levels and coordinate with suppliers to ensure continuous production.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate logs of production data, maintenance activities, and safety inspections.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years operating an asphalt or similar industrial plant.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in operating plant control systems and understanding of mechanical and electrical systems.
- Certifications: OSHA 10 or 30-hour certification preferred.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
