Job Description

I am looking for a Mortage Loan Originator for a community bank in the area. Healthy bank, excellent leadership!

This individual will generate new loan business and evaluate, authorize, or recommend approval of mortgage and consumer loans:

•Network with realtors, community leaders and business owners to obtain loan referrals

•Prospect for loan opportunities by being visible in the community

•Promote business for the Bank by maintaining good customer relations and referring customers to appropriate staff for new services

•Meet and communicate with loan applicants to explain the terms and approval criteria of loan products

•Obtain relevant information and evaluate applicants’ financial status, including credit history, debt-to-income ratio and appraisal reports

•Ensure all necessary information and documentation is submitted to loan processing

•Maintain current knowledge of all applicable lending guidelines and regulations

•Maintain, review and update credit and loan files

•Collect from delinquent loan customers

 

Qualifications:
 
*Associate Degree or Bachelor’s Degree in a business-related field
 
*2 + years of mortgage lending experience
 
*Excellent written and verbal communication skills
 
*Exceptional interpersonal skills and strong customer service orientation
 
* Strong Microsoft Office skills and ability to use industry-specific computer programs
 
*Good negotiation skills
 
*Ability to work both independently and with a team
 
*Ability to interpret and analyze financial data
